Melissa loves to share her passion for playing and love for music with her pupils. She follows the goals and needs of her students, whether that be playing for pleasure, working towards exams, festivals, competitions, or general performance opportunities.
Melissa believes that a well rounded approach and good understanding of music is key to being a good musician. Whilst she fully supports her pupils working towards grades, many of whom have passed with high marks, she encourages them to also have a wide reportoire and to also play for enjoyment. Melissa believes that technique is a vital part of any pianist's journey and incorporates this into her lessons from day one.
