Reina Yeo

Biography

Reina began playing the piano at the age of 5 and has dedicated herself to classical piano music for more than 20 years. In 2024, she successfully completed Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with distinction, under Dr. Robert Markham and a pianist Anthony Hewitt. She also has participated in numerous master classes with renowned pianists such as Peter Donohoe, Mark Bebbington, John Thwaites, Daniel Browell, and Jan Loeffler.

Recently, Reina made her recital debut featuring an exceptionally demanding repertoire: S.Rachmaninoff Suite from J.S.Bach Partita in E Major for Violin, C.Debussy Images Book 1, S.Prokofiev, Sonata No.7 in B-flat Major, Op.83, and M.Ravel La Valse. Also, she had the honour of being a finalist in notable competitions such as Donohoe Gold Medal and Birmingham Philharmonic Concerto Pize.

She has mastered various styles from all musical eras, including Baroque, Classical, and Romantic, as well as experimental French, Spain and Russian music. Her diverse experience extends beyond solo performance to include piano concertos, chamber music, two-piano works, four-hand pieces, and
accompanying various instruments, choirs, and vocalists. She had the opportunity to perform as a pianist with the RBC orchestra under the baton of conductor Catherine Larsen-Maguire at Symphony Hall.

As a dedicated piano tutor, she tailors lessons to each student's learning pace, ensuring a fun and engaging approach to mastering the piano, whether you're a beginner or advanced player. She creates a positive, encouraging learning environment, where every student feels confident to explore their musical potential, fostering a deep connection with music along the way.
